PC125-RCD Lubrication Tech Tip The PC125-RCD portable crimper is designed for higher production volume and repetitive use with its open design, removable pusher and easy-to-use, spring-loaded die set. In order to maintain its high performance, lubricating the various components of the crimper in key grease point areas is crucial. See below for instructions: Grease Point 1 Place a thin layer of CrimpX oil (supplied with crimper), or a high-pressure molybdenum grease, on the surface of the cone insert (as shown in Figure 1). Grease Point 2 Before sliding the PC125-RCD press plate over the correct dies, place a thin layer of CrimpX oil (supplied with crimper), or a high-pressure molybdenum grease, on the entire area that the dies come in contact with (as shown in Figure 2). If the dies are sticking in the cone insert, continue to lubricate/grease as explained above in addition to lubricating each die finger individually (as shown in Figure 3). Please note, the die fingers must be lubricated at both positions that come in contact with the PC125-RCD pressure plate and the cone insert.
