Some competitors have used thinner materials not only in the body, but also on the inlet and outlet which compromises the over all integrity of the muffler. Grand Rock’s M-465 uses a semi-domed top on our muffler. This prevents water from settling on the top and creating corrosion. Other economy mufflers have a flat or indented top which collects moisture and promotes rust. Grand Rock’s M-465 features fully automated welded construction. Some economy mufflers use crimp and spot welded construction.
